Climax Denial - Midwestern Erogenous Zones (USA), Tape

Climax Denial is an American noise/industrial project based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Active since 2005, it has become a staple in the underground power electronics and harsh noise scenes, often described as one of the last standing "classic" American power electronics acts.

The project has a long history of interchangeably implementing harsh noise, death industrial, ambient drones and field recordings into powerful and often inebriating compositions. Thematically exploring sexuality and mental illness, oppressive atmospheres dominate, creating a visceral and confrontational experience.

This new cassette, Midwestern Erogenous Zones (his first release since 2023's death industrial opus, Decrepitude) features a focus on exceptionally dense synthesizer drones and textures. Long-form hallucinogenic industrial noise, inspired by the chemical workings of the brain and sensory organs in human eroticism and addiction.
