Hor-cheret refers to the name of Horus as a child of Isis and Osiris in Egypt mythology. This is not meant to be seen as a an imperfect and childish god, but as the one who is placed over the speech of men concerning the gods. His imperfection is a reminder to overcome the own inabilities. As Plutarch says, the finger at his mouth is a symbol of silence and secrecy.

Hor-cheret is a ritual and martial music project by members of Vortex, Nam-khar and Delta Komplex, formed as an artistic reaction to the despiritualization of our world, dominated by corruption, ultra-capitalism and nihilism. The music of Hor-cheret invoked ancient mythology to confront modern forms of decay. Primeval energies against a world of greed and fear.

„Nana wa tei“ is the old nomadic law of hospitality: Even your enemy will be treated peacefully when he speaks out this phrase as he enters the homestad. In return he has to return this offer peacefully and with respect. This ancient law is the key metaphor to understand this cycle of tunes dealing with the illfated situation of cultural clashes in the 21rst century.
